Gone Swimmin'....

Josh and I bought Rebekah her first big-girl swimming pool as an early birthday present. It was all of $9, so we sprung for it now rather than later. This was her first swimming experience. So far, so good.
Nana brought her a "Mama Duck" due to Rebe's penchant for yellow duckies (do all babies love ducks?). It was well-received. Rebekah is trying to say duck and "quack," too.

After an initial shock to her system because of the unexpected cold, we were good to go! Rebekah loved her Mama Duck.

Notice Sam acting like he doesn't get water.

Still looking at us to make sure all is well.

Starting to notice the water.

Starting to love the water.

Realizing that this is actually supposed to be fun...

Realizing that pool water splashes as well as or even better than bath water.

A little snuggle time after so much swimming...it's exhausting exerting so much energy.

Her suit is adorable! And she looks a lot like her Nana from those pics.
Hey guess what?!?! I just got a position teaching English! So... I'll need tips on "Romeo and Juliet" if you taught that b/c I apparently HAVE to teach it even though I think that is silly. I want to teach "Make Lemonade" or something like that... but I suppose being a first-year... ;)

How long are you going to use the birthday present excuse? Do you celebrate her birthday month? I am pretty sure she has gotten a pool, a burley, a wagon, a doll and her birthday is still 3 more weeks away! :)
