Dunnottar, Part 1

This is Dunnottar Castle (pronounced Denoter). William Wallace supposedly captured it and ironically, Mel Gibson was Hamlet and that version was filmed at the castle. It sits upon a hill and evidently, the main passageway (just walking across land) was cut away for protection, so we hiked down and then up a bunch of stairs to get to it.

Without question, this was the coolest thing we've done since being here! had we not made many wrong turns leaving the city (roundabouts are killer), we could have been there in under half an hour. The view was spectacular, being on the North Sea, and the castle was obviously ruins, but the kind worth seeing. We were amazed at how incredibly breathtaking the whole experience was, as well as how much Rebekah LOVED it!! She ran and ran in that lush grass and loved trying to make her voice echo in the cavernous parts!

We can't wait to take our visiting friends and family- hint hint!!

Happy 6 month, Luke Timothy! You have brought us much joy (and loss of sleep!). We love you and are so glad to have you as our son! As we speak, Rebekah is giving you a pep talk to eat your breakfast, which is precious! Even your big sis has grown quite fond of you!
